Memory card stuck!

I'm having a nightmare.

I used the SD Formatted from the Blackvue site to format the 64GB SD card.

Then I've read that even though I used the recommended software, you need FAT32 (the software used exFat)

So I've gone to take the memory card out of the camera and it's stuck in there! It's supposed to click in and out but even with tweezers I can't get it back out.

What am I supposed to do now?! Anyone else had this problem. If I send it back it'll have my memory card stuck in it.

You are pushing it in first right? with something thin.. like a pointy fingernail. It pushes in, unlatches and pops out on its own, sometimes far enough to leave the camera entirely..

2 words. Krazy Glue.

I use krazy glue to remove a stuck sim card. Should work on a dash cam.

Basically, using an old sim card, I apply crazy glue to it. Then I stick the sim card to the stuck sim card and wait for the glue to dry. Then I just push first to release, and then pull the stuck card out.

Works every time.

Yes, I know how the SD memory card mechanisms work.

The glue idea sounds like it would work, but at the same time I'm not sure shoving glue anywhere near the internals of a £280 camera system is a good idea.

And surely if it's gotten stuck once it could happen again?

Ur not sticking glue inside. Just on the edge of the SD card itself. U only need a little. It's a last resort when all else fails.

super/Crazy Glue anywhere near a dashcam is a bad idea, the vapors will permanently fog/haze the lens. The slightest bit of excess glue can clog the memory card slot beyond hope too.

Is there enough room above or below the card in the slot to insert a piece of tape cut to the right width? If so, then it might be possible to get it in far enough to stick and give you a tab to pull with. Don't use the frosted scotch tape, they suck for this, but any of the clear variety is usually good.

I removed a stuck one by putting a needle in to the slot on one of the flat sides of the card and using it as a leaver...

If it wont budge don't force it.

Just provided a solution. I used this method to remove a stuck sim card and no issues so far. And the lens is no where near the SD card slot.

All you need is a drop on a cheap micro sd Card, mate it with the stuck card for a few seconds and pull.

4 words "don't use crazy glue"
2 words "Try dynamite"
Aside from that...anything but glue...or hammers...

Super glue might work for another application, but I have to agree with Pier28...the vapor fuming alone can possibly ruin the lens and the board....I would use it as a last resort only. In the end, if it won't come out any other way...then I suppose anything goes...
