Several reasons. For me the most important are:Just a question but why are there two micro SD-slots?
1. If you take your card into the house in the evening to look at your video and then forget to put it back before you next drive then the camera will still record using the other card.
2. If you want to give a copy of the last 5 minutes to the police without loosing all your video or unnecessarily giving them video which might show you 1 kph over the speed limit at some point you can put an empty card in the second slot and ask the camera to copy the last 5 minute clip over, then hand that card to the police - if you hand them the video at the time then you can't later be accused of tampering with it.
3. If I want to keep the last hour of video because it was a nice scenic drive then I can just swap cards, or maybe use the camera to copy the good bits to the second card as protected files and use that card as an archive while the main card gets and recycles all the boring stuff.
