I am seeking a recommendation for a dashcam to be given as a gift.
My friend is an "accident magnet" and he really needs a dashcam.

He is not the type of person to check to make sure that it is working each trip.
He is a senior and juggling multiple obligations at any time.

I want to get him the most reliable dashcam available even if it is not the ultimate in anything else.
Some dashcam is better than no dashcam, but only if it is actually recording when it is needed.
So, can anyone offer some advice as to which unit is most likely to not fail when it is needed the most.
My budget ceiling is $200 for this.
