My black vue thread

Thought I would make my own little thread
With any faults and problems along the way

So I decided on the vue 500 wifi

Only because of its ability to connect to Mac ,

Also after some advice from other members on here
Issue no 1
Just could not connect to the wifi
On my iPhone 5
Tries everyting and which way combi known

Then it found it huh ,
So all was well .
Along the way of Installjng the sound kept turning off and on
Repeating again again but now seems so have settled down .
I drive a sprinter van so have it installed high up as opposed to low down towards the front ,

So these latest pics were taken tonight around 2130 hrs Pacfic time

All the settings are still from the box as is

Not yet connected to the Mac to configure or upload any files
Need to pick up some micro sd cards and adapters

GPS turned off today

Did not really notice it
Plug pulled and restarted all is fine
Hope this is not the start of bigger things

Left it in the heat all day
Drive home all is still working
I think I must a Monday morning unit

The guy who made mine must of had a good weekend

Can you go behind a car and see if the cam can pick up the license plate? On my cam the plates are out of focus.

I drive sprinter can
So it mounted appx 7 ft high from the rd level

But yes sir
I think it work fine
Did you clean the lens ?

It's livable

I was disappointed when I got the camera
The one and only reason was there was no others Mac friendly camera out there
That I knew that had wifi

Yep, very disappointed. Contact both the ebay seller and pittasoft directly. No replies in regards to the poor focusing and not being able to read the plates.

Time to make a blackvue DR500GW suck and do not buy youtube video.

What do you mean exactly??

Looks like your uploaded photos are not recorded/saved/uploaded in full hd. because they are not 1920x1080 pixel.
The last one has 1.024px × 577px

Honestly
I saved it to my internal memory on the iPhone
Then when I played the video
I just snapshot the frame
And posted it on here

I am not the most tech savvy person

Even at full HD resolution, you cannot decipher the license plate. Simply because the lens is out of focus.

Well tested the Blk view on our drive from Bc
All the way to Los Angeles
So heat issues everything worked 100%
The occasional tap on the 12v socket turned it off


Had it parked in the baking sun
When I forgot to remove it because in our car the 12v turns off to save power


So all in all still happy with the unit
It's stuck on with Velcro ( Home Depot)

Removing from my van was a piece of cake ,

Reading other posts on here that there vue overheats and so on
I had no problems at all
The heat in Fresno ca was intense
I think directing the ac to the windscreen helps a lot in keeping the temp down



Updated the new App Store blackview today
Still no issues

Nothing really happing on the rds so far

Still need to connect this to the Mac and upload all the files ,

I guess all this hi tech stuff is scaring me
