MyNextbase Control app - Reversing Camera not flipped/mirrored in 'Live View'

Dear dashcammers...

Is there a way to flip/mirror the rear camera picture when using 'live view' in the MyNextbase app?

I've just purchased and set up the Nextbase 622GW with a rear window camera. I have the rear camera set to 'Reversing Camera' and when viewed through the 622GW screen it appears correctly - i.e. the rear camera view is flipped/mirrored.

However, when viewing the rear camera using 'live view' on the MyNextbase app, the view is not flipped - even when Reversing Camera mode is 'on'. Is there a way to fix this?

I was hoping to use it as a handy reversing camera when viewing on my phone through the app.

Hello,

Thank you for your question. I'm afraid the rear camera image cannot be flipped horizontally using Live View on the MyNextbase Connect app, and we do not recommend using the app whilst driving.
The Reversing Camera setting within the settings menu on the 622GW will only effect the image on the 622GW's screen when reversing.
