I would argue against adding a short cable to the new rear camera. Doing so will require a comparatively bulky USB connector (much larger than the cable diameter itself) which will complicate neatly tucking cables into the headliner.Also looking at the end the new rear camera it needs a new cable too.
The older rear camera has a pigtail cable so that a weather tight connection can be made when the camera is mounted externally. A short length of heat shrink tubing was provided with the original so that the USB connection could be sealed. There is no such requirement for an internally mounted camera. The new rear camera is better off without its own cable.
