On a related note, Iโve spoken with some fellow creators who were completely oblivious to the fake 4K nonsense and surprised when I told them. Not everyone spends their free time on dashcam forums like this.
I wouldn't mind if they didn't know they were fake, but did identify that the image quality was only 2K quality, or less. The problem is when they describe the image quality as crystal clear 4K quality when it isn't, which seems to be quite common!
We seem to have another problem with HDR at the moment, not all HDR is equal, and you get people explaining that a Viofo VS1 has HDR which is great for sunny days because it can record the bright sunny areas without overexposure while also not underexposing the dark areas; so explaining what HDR is in photography terms, which isn't necessarily correct for a dashcam. Then later in the video they report that the night time video quality of the VS1 is absolutely amazing for its price, but they fail to recognise that this has anything to do with HDR. You do need to do your research, and it doesn't take long to check out a forum like this. After making a few dashcam reviews, you should know where to find the knowledge, but most of the people who make reviews seem to like being independent, and also most of them like to do a good job for the company supplying the product, while not being very interested in doing a good job for the buyer. This isn't necessarily done because they don't want to loose out on future opportunities, they just view the review as being created for the product supplier, not for the potential purchasers.
One day I will show my face. lol
Everyone worries about putting their face on camera, but when it comes to YT videos, it really doesn't matter what your face or hair looks like, everyone is different and all faces are accepted. People like to comment on hair, but it is a feature, not a problem.
I remember your video of the power magic pro, and you had a band-aid on your finger. lol
Now fingers do matter, people do notice band-aids, cuts, bruises, dirty finger nails, un-manicured finger nails, etc., and remember issues with them forever. Best not to put your hands in the video, because the video will be judged by them!
One day I want to talk in my videos but too shy.
Voice is the most important, you need a good microphone, good room acoustics, elocution lessons...
Some people get away with a poor setup, or even make it a trade mark, but if you want to be successful, it is worth putting far more effort into the audio than the video. Get the audio right and don't worry about the face; some of the best YT videos don't include faces, the best always have a professional microphone and studio setup for acoustics. You don't actually need a good voice, just a microphone setup and room acoustics that make it sound good!
