Nextbase IQ

OMG AI managed hedgefonds.
Danish tax payers better be careful with their money in the future as real meat & bones people already robbed us of XX billions, by what in my eyes are extremely simple scams.

Well if that’s the best that it gets, I’m not overly impressed. Reflection at lower edge of screen reinforces comments about the lack of CPL filter. I thought the focus wasn’t quite there especially anything other than straight ahead and clarity was awful when trying to enlarge the still picture.

I went into Halfords earlier and had a look

Apart from what's been posted, in an accident, probably not much of a bump, that dangling camera section is going to be thrown forward on it's moveable stalk and will be pointing slightly upwards assuming it hitting the windscreen doesn't damage it.

No surprises there, seems like a piece of s hit as many of us suspected.

Clever design decisions lOl

Found some more footage

Reading the comments on that video, the OP and another user seem to be happy customers.

I have just got the 4k version too and impressed with night and day quality.
Yes, I've had every model, this is best so far, hopefully will get the rear soon, not going to pay for subscription until all the features are available
Seen in another forum that the rear was withheld because of firmware problems?, NB site now says available 17th, but , have to say the front performer better than any previous model.

That hinge on the camera, need to be really strong to not change angle in a impact. And i dont think it is that strong, at least i have never felt one on any similar mounted camera i felt that this will remain in place.

It seem quite strong but so did my old 402 and 412 with blutack in the ball joints

It looks like a lot of weight

There are math here, but that in turn make me turn around and run, CUZ i always detested math as i most often can not find the logic in it, and no logic my brain refuse to process.
But weight, distance to the,,,,, isent it called fulcrum or maybe the pivot point, anyway, add to that the force of the impact and i am sure you can calculate the force put on the joint.

assuming it hitting the windscreen doesn't damage it.
Looks like it will be the lens that takes the impact? Which will destroy the sensor behind it?

While looking at images showing that it will be the lens that impacts, I came across a review showing the "fantastic" image quality:

To be fair on that image, it likely is a low-res version of the actual quality, as it is from a notification (probably is the quality that the live view image has).

But that same article did have this picture...

A not good quality image underneath the article's claim of "fantastic"... although I have a suspicion that the article is messing up and using a screen capture from the live view / low-res cloud upload rather than the full quality.

Very half arsed review of the dashcam, where are the proper photos or sample videos?

And lots of blah blah about how the promised features that haven't launched yet is going to be great. These could be empty promises or maybe it will come to fruition, but misleading at the moment to say all that.

If I hadn't seen another or used a 4k dash cam, I'd be happy too. Big mistake for the person who isn't going to pay for the subscription until all the features are available, because that might not even happen..
