I just receive my new G and was wondering if my mount is off. The rectangle part where you slide in the camera is vertical instead of horizontal so when I slide the camera in it's on it's side and not facing fwd. is there a way to adjust it? Maybe I am missing something .

The disc shaped area will pivot 360° with a clicking sound. you need to twist it hard. If you back out the threaded tension knob, that will release the teeth that allow the tilt forward/backwards. So it's a combination of tilting and then twist pivoting

Thank you for all the replys. Now that it's all sorted out I feel so foolish asking the question. Before I asked the question I attempted to twist it with my fingers and that was painfull then I tried with the camera on the mount but I was afraid I might apply too much force and break the camera. After I saw how it's done on the unboxing video I was assured on how to do it. Thanks everyone
