Being in that situation, i'd think of a "smart...answer" like this:
"use the 9mm to crack the shells into small, sharp pieces; then drop them before windows and doors you want to make more secure; use the clips to pin some signs like 'put your shoos of to not disturb the dog" in front of the window/doors... if you've done it right, no burgler will be capable of entering your home without being noticed and severly harmed" ;-)
