This thread is for people using Transcend Premium 300x 64Gb with Panorama X2.


Lately there has been some reports from Panorama X2 customers who are using 64Gb Transcend Premium 300x memory cards in relation to X2 not recognizing one or both memory cards, not writing / saving videos on one or both memory cards etc.

Both of my cards performing well and no major issues within past half year of use in regards of saving files.

There has been assumptions that maybe there is an issue coming from different batches of this memory card.

If you own Panorama X2 and using Transcend Premium 300x 63Gb memory card, please report here if you have an issues with those memory cards in your Panorama X2 or not.

Also please write what place you bought them from ( link to the online shop ) and include serial / batch number of memory cards.

On basis of those reports we might get some pattern of whether issue on Panorama X2 are related to different batches of 64Gb Transcend Premium 300x or there is something else need to look into.

The X1 might not be the right product to test on, it looks like X2 dont like some Transcend batch.
You said you returned one 300x, but did you get replacement or refund ?

It looks like not only 64gb but also 32Gb is fussy ?

I got my money back, no questions asked. As i said before, i dont think the sd card is at fault. Today i left the rear slot empty, drove to work and back, which is more than an hour and the cam did not cut off or stop recording or anything . Before, there was not a single time i drove my car for 15-20 min without cutting off, and unresponsive screen. Today is looking promising. Hope tomorrow will be fine too. And if it is I'm putting in on the back windshield and use the remote lens on the front with the X1. I like the 120 degree angle better, the image looks sharper.

Experienced another 'Insert front card' after a couple of weeks of no issues once I started my car today. Curiously I have never had a corrupted rear card, only the front card seems to be corrupted. After updating to .03 of the firmware and turning off voltage detection I have had much fewer occurrences.

Here is the batch number of my front card:

The card appears to work just fine right after I run a repair disk using Disk Utility. It would be really nice if the X2 had some way to do the same sort of repair job at its quite nerve racking when the camera doesn't work on a drive home in rush hour traffic...

I've had issues with my 64Gb cards. I used to eject them in menu mode, but would get insert card error messages when putting them back.
Because the rear parking gsensor is not working, I've turned parking mode off and therefore the power setting is drive only.
Since making that change, all my cards are ejected with power off. I've NOT had a single problem since!

In my case i did not eject the cards and the camera was in operation for about a week and a half. I started my car and got the front card error. I dont use the parking voltage detection because it causes a lot of instability. I do use the keep recording for 6 hlurs though.
 
blah. press the screen, tap the cog, goes into settings screen. remove cards. been doing that since version one firmware...
 
IMO, it's not the Transcend cards causing problems. It is the parking mode with voltage settings. I have non Transcend cards and get the missing card problem. On fw 1.2.3.
 
@Bluenose & @Mark Bixby - could you put the serial numbers of your cards on here please as they went read only and they're the ones we're really interested in please :)

Ah this is more around the Transcend cards which flipped to read only - we had two or three users who had cards in the X2 which went read only. I think we see this issue in the X2 more as it runs constantly - maybe we'll see it on the X1 as well but I'm watching with interest :)

I've put new Lexar cards in so I'm leaving them to see how long it takes before they barf :)
