"Power Off delay" no effect?

Hi all,

My understanding from previous dashcams I have is that the Power Off delay feature is mean to have the camera keep recording for the set period of time when the power is disconnected.

My last camera was unfortunetly a counterfeit of the 0801. It had this feature, and it kept recording for 1,3, or 5 minutes after the ignition is off. So I had mine set to 3 minutes. It caught some guy backing into my car right after I parked it.

It doesn't seem to be working for the 0806?

It sets the amount of time the camera stays on if it is not doing anything, normally not a very useful setting.

If the power is disconnected then it will shutdown after 10 seconds, recording or not.

The default settings are normally the ones you want unless you want to add a speed overlay.
