Power requirements for Mini 0801

The device uses a fair amount of power. 2 different laptops just managed a red flicker when asked to charge the flat battery. PC shows flickering red alternating with blue when recording. All OK on powered hub built into monitor. A 1 Amp current limited supply shows red alternating blue when recording with screen on, with a battery fully charged whilst device is "off". Thus 1 amp is being boosted by the internal battery. A few minutes after the screen shuts down, the red led no longer shows, so the current drawn whilst just recording (video+audio) is somewhere around 1 Amp.

perhaps that's why it comes with a 2A charger

Indeed, but several people in the long thread here, have asked about this, and testing indoors with a low powered supply my have introduced some of the reported problems.

yes there's no accounting for what people may do with a product after they get it, I've seen some very obvious self induced problems from some customers at times
