Powering through GPS base causes corruption

I've since learned the redesigned contact connection system on the back of all future productions of A119/A119S cameras won't be compatible with the original GPS mount. This means the reverse is true, so existing dashcams won't be compatible with the new re-tooled GPS.

Well, that's really a shame.
Do you know an estimate on when this new retooled version will come out?
I just ordered this camera about 2 weeks ago and I still have my return window. It's clearly a defective product right now.
I have contacted my seller about this issue, but I still have yet to get a response.

Definitely a poor design and defective product. On a vehicle with stiff suspension, besides the issue with the sound from the mount, intermittent power to the camera is an issue with the extreme movement between the GPS module and camera mount. There is insufficient spring tension and the travel of the contacts is insufficient. Don't believe there is any other option but to return the A119S. No good getting a replacement as this is a basic design engineering issue and all the A119S will be faulty as delivered from the factory.

It will be about a month or two before all sellers have the new updated version. OCD Tronic will have very first V2 batch sooner than that though.

Please keep up updated when this new version is out. Will definitely update.
Thank you for the info.
