I wired up the rear camera in my wife's car using the long version of the cable and it seemed like it was fine before I routed it under the headliner etc. After I installed it however, it won't connect more often than not. I pulled the shorter version of the usb cable that I had in my car that worked and it's doing the same thing with it just strung from the rear to the front exposed. I tried swapping the ends around and still won't connect. It has the newest firmware version as far as I know and there hasn't been any trauma to either camera.
I'm not sure if there's an issue with the front cam or rear
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I knew I saw something about connectors
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE REAR CAMERA CONNECTION CABLE: IF USING THE LONG CABLE, PLEASE ENSURE STRAIGHT CONNECTOR IS INSERTED INTO THE REAR CAMERA. IF USING THE SHORT CABLE, THE LONGEST CONNECTOR IS INSERTED INTO THE REAR CAMERA, THE SHORTEST CONNECTOR IS INSERTED INTO THE FRONT CAMERA.
I'll try this shortly ^
