I am getting a new car tomorrow and thought it was probably time to get a new dashcam as well (my current one is E-Prance bought in 2015). I will continue to use my current dashcam temporarily in the new car but have been looking to get a rear camera as well. However I noticed when looking at nextbase (522gw is a contender) that you can get a wired rear camera or unwired add on camera. I cant however find out information about the differences between these two methods and their pros and cons, is anyone able to help? I was looking at getting Halfords to hardwire the kit rather than having wires hanging out of the 12 volt socket. In the UK in case that is relevant. Thank you
