recording and buffering

While I am waiting for my Panorama ii (on the recommendation of some of the guys on this forum) to be delivered, I was a little curious, all the video's I have seen run for about 30 seconds and I'm wondering whether this is standard recording time before buffering - if not is it possible to record say a 10 minute trip - maybe a little longer in one go????

While I was looking for the Panorama I noted that some camera's had the ability to show the speed of the vehicle, would I need the GPS for this?????

longer recycle times are possible, most people only share short segments as the files are greater than 100mb per minute of recording
