Remove 3M sticky tape

Whats's the best way to remove the sticky tape of the gps mount from the plastic cover on my windscreen

to remove the mount try using a thin wire, such as a fishing wire. saw and cut between the windshield and vhb pad. left over residue could be easily rubbed out or you can use wd-40.

As above, tie a piece of fishing wire wire between two small sticks to act as handles with a few inches of wire between, basically use it as a saw.
Do not try to pull it off or prise it off with a scraper etc, at best you will destroy the mount, at worst crack the windscreen, remember they are not standard adhesive pads they are vhb
