I'm looking for guidance on finding a new dash camera that meets the following requirements:
. Lowest possible voltage (minimal car battery draw for prolonged Parking/Motion detection mode use)
. I do not want or need GPS, wifi, LCD screen, 2nd channel.
. Do I need to strictly consider supercapacitor designs only? I'm in New England, so I don't consider our summers crazy hot, but I've experienced internal battery failure with the CR-500HD (and suspect it may also have caused the most recent 3rd failure). I saw that there is an updated CR-500HD with a better battery- I like the design, as previous to yesterday, it had never significantly impacted by car battery voltage, but I can't help but be wary given that I've experienced 3 failures with this model to date, most recently stranding me completely.
Thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations.
