Cammer sideswiped by car trying to avoid rear collision after a lane change on wet roads

So the little red car gained,,,,,, nothing, more over it lost its damage free status.

Yeah they are often loose cannons, just lean back and go with the flow, and get there in one pice with a intact car a couple of minutes later.

Was the cam just laying loose on the dash or was the impact so hard it broke off the mount?

Some cameras dont stick that well, some just change angle in a event and yet others come completely off the windscreen.

What do it mostly i think is dashcams with a suction cup mount, and / or dashcams where the camera sit some way below the mounting surface, and so in event of a crash there is more leverage in place to dislodge camera or make it change angle.

This should not be a issue with windscreen hugging cameras in the wedge shape and similar.

You would want something really strong, while the dashcams are not that heavy they will still generate a lot of force in a crash.

or more often, right about the same time - can't tell you how often i catch back up to speeders once traffic slows down, the road curves, or there's a red light/stop sign.

OP - Douchenburger was in a hurry ... To go no where ! ( Another wana be pedestrian )
