SJCAM C200 Drops connection with Phone App

I have two new SJCAM C200 cameras and both exhibit the same issue - I can connect to their Wifi network both by setting up the ID and Password or using the QR Code.

However when I click on the Connect to Camera button in the App it displays a waiting graphic for the video (see below) then times out after 30 seconds and goes back to the Connect to Camera mode. In that 30 seconds I can change settings so it must be making some sort of connection.

Anyone experience the same issue or have a workaround?
