Any recommendations on software for stitching together multiple MP4 files?

The specific example that I'm looking at is a set of 'E' files that are "mostly" sequential but they have a few seconds of overlap between them. So ideally the stitching software can be told to analyze the sources, align the overlap, and trim it from one of the two clips before combining them into a single file.

I use CyberLink Power Director 11.

I've also used WinAVI
Click "Advanced" and turn to the "Encoder" menu. Then choose "Yes" on "Output to single file"
