Honestly I can't get over how extremely valuable this forum is. I've learned SO much. I'm looking to pull the trigger on an action cam. Ideally I would like 4K video with image stabilization. The primary purpose for the purchase will be a trip I'm taking to Hawaii and I would like to use it while on a doors off helicopter ride, so we'll be in motion and waterfalls will be in motion, so I suspect image stabilization will be important. Here's the deal... I'm not flush with money and really can't afford top of the line, and also I'm not a professional or even a hardcore enthusiast but I also don't want garbage. I've seen a few that look interesting to me, the SJ8 Plus/Pro (sadly pro doesn't come with waterproof case included and I will be doing some snorkeling with this device so it's additional cost to buy the case). Another that seems really interesting is the MGCool Explorer 3, but I'm not sure of the verdict on that chipset iCatch V50 with Panasonic MN34112 sensor. I like the looks of the Elephone Explorer K, but can't find anywhere it's actually for sale.
Wondering if anyone has some thoughts or recommendations. My budget is ibetween $100-$200.
I should say as well, that if there is just a killer action camera that doesn't do 4K but does wonderful 1080p, I can live with that. Quality of the picture is most important and I don't want to hang that on just the resolution.
Thanks!
