Sadly, I can confirm this claim. See the sets of comparison images that are posted on pages 2 and 3 of my thread. Unfortunately, if they had just left things alone and called this a 2.5K camera and skipped the algorithmic upscaling to 4K, they might have had a higher quality and more competitive product offering. What a shame...
