ThiEye T5e Reviews and Video Footage

The whole floor in the factories are sealed with an anti static finish, they don't do carpet in China
ESD flooring is also good. Usually 2mm x 20m rolls. The cheapest and easiest to install is ESD Paint like Staticide providing done properly and more common in factories with large areas these days.
But, you can roll around on carpet, warmer and more tolerant to wear from us engineers running cable throughs etc. Wishful thinking these days.

A highly awaited test, a direct Gyro image stabilization (EIS) comparison between the Firefly 8S, SJCam Sj7, XiaoYi Yi2 and ThiEye T5 taken in 1080p@60fps. More tests coming soon.

A comparison between the ThiEye T5 with EIS enabled and the Yi2 4K on the Vimble C gimbal using an Osmo to GoPro5 adapter.

And another flight on the plane with the T5:

Mountain biking footage in 4K:

Youtube compresses it too much :( the original files quality is really good!!!!

Anyone knows how to fix the quality problem on youtube??

Upscale to 60fps, also use 2.5K@60fps and upscale to 4K@60fps. You can also use 1080p@60fps and upscale ate 4K@60fps. The results will be better even watched in 1080p

Just got the camera today, pretty impressed so far with it.

There is a new model of T5 coming, named EDGE. The updated version is promised to deliver better image quality, dual LCD screens and voice control. Beside that an improved EIS was also implemented which will work even in 4K.

Here is a comparison between T5 Edge, GoPro 6 and YI2+

The T5 Edge and E7 use the iCatch V50+ chipset and Panasaonic 34112 sensor.

ThiEYE T5 EDGE LINK is same cam as:

* Sunco SO95 LINK

* Vikam V50 LINK

Like that T5 EDGE has EIS in 4K30 but seems they are using different (V50/V50+?) chipset and Panasonic MN34112 sensor?

iCatch have been used in dashcams with SPCA6340B (V34B) SoC and action cams with SPCA6330M (V33M) and SPCA6350A (V35A) etc. Not heard of V50 though. Should be interesting.

The T5 edge is on Gearbest and says it uses Ambarella A12. I'm waiting for Gearbest to confirm if the t5 edge has dashcam features.

I asked Geekbuying if the E7 could be used as a dashcam but they said it does not support dashcam features.

That is probably incorrect, the Thieye page lists it as 14m (Panasonic sensor), and same specs, features, and frame rates as E7 - 60 fps in 1080p but not 2.5K like the T5e/A12 cameras, etc.

Yes as Sunco SO95 LINK looks identical to T5 Edge and has iCatch V50. (Same as Sunco SO91 is the base for T5e, AN7000 etc) Not dual screen either, just a pretty logo with two LED's next to it.

GearBest never listen or change anything even if you supply data (and links) for corrections.

User just bought Elephone Elite 4K newest version cam but used their "suggested" old (20161223v1.0) firmware upgrade and, of course, the cam LCD display is scrambled.
Notified GB last year to remove link but it is still there!

Gearbest replied to me in email and said that the T5 edge does not support dashcam functions. That is strange since the t5e supports dashcam functions.

What's the difference between ThiEYE T5 Edge and ThiEYE E7?

T5 edge has dual screen or at least some different logo on front and it costs about $40 more. Other than that they appear to have the same specs.
