2024 Minimum Requirements: STARVIS 2 & HDR
This is my first, and last post about the U3000.
What a disappointing Flagship release.
First the disaster of the BlackVue DR970X, and now the U3000.
How can both premier Korean manufacturers drop the ball for 2023?
These things are $500+ and overall image quality is worse than a $120 Viofo A119 Mini 2.

The U3000 was sent for test & review on 9/2/23.
I played with it for a few days, (checked focus, HDR Test, low light test, use smartphone APP).
Without HDR the STARVIS 2 (IMX678) image sensor is almost useless during night time & low light conditions.
They can’t add HDR because it’s incompatible with the current processor.
Maybe in another 4 years the U5000 will get a new processor to add HDR.
By that time we’ll be on STARVIS 3 with 8K resolution.
Just kidding. lol

I informed my Thinkware representative (Joey) with my displeasure of the U3000.
I informed Joey if I continued testing, and made a YouTube review video it would be negative.
I do not wish to make a negative YouTube review video because I don’t think that would be completely fair to Thinkware.
I requested a pre-paid shipping label to send the U3000 back, and Joey complied.
Sayonara U3000.
No wait, Annyeong.

Jesus so what processor does the U3000 use. Basically they chose the wrong processor too and it stuffed everything up - wow talk about cheaping out!
