New Aussie member here. Thanks in advance!

Must haves

Wide angle lens
1080p or higher
Very good night/low light sensitivity/pic
Parking Modes with auto detection with pre-buffer
Can be totally visible - (I now feel that seeing a camera in my car would make most disgruntled drivers think twice about road rage)
Capacitor
No Screen

Hope to have:
Car battery protection
Looping
Variable record times
Easily Removable from the windscreen to be able to record driver side video if required.

Any other recommendations? I have someone who I suspect is a car vandal and I want to catch him red handed - hence good night sensitivity and picture. What's best??

Thanks! Very much appreciated.

Welcome to DCT. Consider the SGZC12RC, QVIA T790 & Thinkware F770.

If your car is parked directly outside your home, you may achieve better results with a cctv setup mounted on the outside of your home, than with a dashcam.

Sadly it's street parking and I don't always get the same parking position. In fact rarely. Thanks tho!

What is your budget ?

Also consider the temperature range of the cam. I had a Mini 0826 that warped in the Aussie summer sun. I have heard other Mini series cams doing the same.
