Dash Cam
VIOFO A229 Pro 2ch
I purchased these four cameras with the hardwire kits and accessories.
I am also unsure which micro SD card to keep.
I plan to hardwire from a professional unless there is good DIY instruction somewhere (I am unsure how much this should cost in CA).
Parking mode would be nice to have because I live in a condo/apartment complex.

Please help me weigh the pros/cons to help decide.
Thank you!~

Viofo A229 Pro and the Viofo microSD card is what I would keep out of those; along with the HK4 hardwiring kit.

I'm not sure if the production Vantrue units have the rear camera fixed yet, which might be one of the reason one might not recommend them as some testers (myself included) have noted out of focus issues on the rear camera.

Install really depends on the vehicle.

DIY or Pro installation for:
2009 Mazda 6
2015 Acura RDX

How much should a pro install be in SoCal?

It's more of how comfortable are you with electronics and popping panels off? With older vehicles, I'm sure there's some instructions online to install dash cams or radar detectors.

If you're not comfortable installing, my guess is that install cost could range anywhere from $100-$200 per vehicle.

Is hardwiring or battery pack better? (I assume hardwire is better because I did not know about the battery pack option until later.)
From what I have been reading it is best to take your car to an audio shop to properly install/hide and hardwire for parking mode.
I was wondering if anyone had experience doing the installation with BestBuy.
I was also considering this local shop https://sorenacaraudio.com/
