Time lapse setting not saving?

Hello, I am trying to revert the camera mode to timelapse so I use the smartphone app (latest version).
After that I disconnect and close the camera so I can take it with me but it doesn't save the mode, it reverts back to video, is it supposed to work like that?

You got an option to boot the cam either in video or photo mode. The setting can be found in the app at general settings.

I am sure the last app version had that option but on the newer one I don't think that's the case?
I am trying to use the Video timelapse mode.
