Yes Jon, i am aware of that and i haven't ejected the card at all until today. I learned early on the hard way because I had been doing it wrong in the beginning. Now i am extra careful to wait until my record light is completely off before ejecting the card. My concern was that i thought it was recording the last few days but i had nothing for those dates at all but yet,the record light was functioning normally giving a false sense of security. No beeps or errors either. I put in my other memory card and will try that one for awhile and see how that one behaves.

Was the red LED on the LCD screen blinking or solid during the times it was not recording?
Pretty sure it was solid.I know it was on for sure,but it is hard to see it very well when i'm driving due to where it's mounted and the bright Florida sun.
If the red dot on the LCD screen was solid, it wasn't recording. Blinking means it's recording.

Yes I did reformat the card a few times. I am going to do as Jon suggested as soon as I have time.
I have gotten one fake card already. I use the transcend verification on their website using the serial number from the memory card. The only cards I use are verified as genuine by transcends procedure.
My samsung galaxy s6 phone is sealed. I can't use that program on it as far as I know. No way to even get at the battery. The internal memory is built into the s6.
When i use the program you told me to download to format the card, it ends up as exfat..not sure if this is ok? Then i go to full format in windows and my choices are NTFS or exfat..?? This is a 64 GB Card and I thought it needs to be fat32..? I had been using guiformat program prior to your message to get fat 32. I think i'm confused again.. How do i get fat32 using your method...?
