Unreliable!!

Bought this thinking as it was from a reputable brand it would be reliable and good quality. This was our first dash cam. Installed and used as a front and reardash cam. So pleased with it initially actually sung it praises to my dad who invested. However, come the warm spell it has failed. Extremely hot to touch, hit and miss reliability despite resetting it several times. Now doesn't recognise the car is being driven and has failed. I brought this to prove i was not an idiot in the event of an incident. Will take back to Halfords and try again.Lets see....

Yeh they are quite hot, with the screen on, which you shouldn't do when driving anyway, it can be classed as a distraction.
With the screen off, mine is fine, screen on, gets quite hot.
Usual issues may occur with the right SD card of choice, so check that out, they cause more issues than you know.

Yes, mine got hot, worryingly so, but have turned off the screen and now it’s fine...
