Based on transferring files between the camera and the smartphone via a type-c to type-c data cable, you can also update the firmware through your phone in this simple way.

When can you start including a USB Type-C to Type-C Data Cable instead of the current USB Type-A to Type-C with every camera?
Hopefully with the “factory installed” CPL Filter VS1’s?
And can you send me a “Viofo Brand” USB Type-C to Type-C Data Cable for testing?

Good afternoon. Will Viofo VS1 record video if it is connected via USB cable to an android phone? Will the GoodSync/DriveSync/FolderSync app be able to automatically upload disturbing video files from the DVR card to the cloud via the phone? With respect

The camera will behave as a drive when you connect it to your phone, so it will stop recording at that time. The video files will not be uploaded to the cloud automatically after you connect the camera to your phone unless you have downloaded them to your phone and moved them to the specific contents.
