Side viewing cameras just aren't possible without a fixed window.
I think they are.
BUT ! you would then have to mount on the door trim plastics where the window roll down into the door, but this is a often curved surface so some kind of multi mount would be needed.
But i think it could be done in that regard, but then you have meddling kid fingers to account for too.
So the camera would mount somewhere
along here.
Also just thought.
You know those wind deflectors you can put on your front doors, wouldent it be possible to do something like that that just go on the rear door and hold a camera on the inside of course, either on the top or bottom.
Maybe just a vertical adapter that would mount on the very front part of the rear window, and of course still be in a transparent material like most of the wind deflectors are.
Of course this do not need to be curved fanch smancy stuff like wind deflector, plain flat so really you can mount the camera anywhere you like.

I assume mounting a adapter like the wind deflectors would be OK on the inside of the glass slit VS the outside that is the norm for the deflectors.
I had a couple of the wind deflectors on my Mitsubishi pickup, tool less install.
