Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro S FIRMWARE (Release time: 05/11/2026)

Version: N4PS_VT-EFA301

1. Updated some Spanish translations.

2. Adjusted parking mode collision-detection sensitivity and improved the G-Sensor secondary-impact and parking-mode exit logic.

3. Fixed an issue where the connection would drop when Wi-Fi was turned off and the App performed formatting over LTE.
Those change log entries are for the previous firmware version EEK141. There always seems to be a delay in posting the change log info by Vantrue after the firmware download is available.

Thanks for pointing that out, and we’re really sorry for the confusion caused.
At the moment, we’re focusing our updates on our main website, Vantrue.com. The older site (vantrue.net) is being gradually phased out, so updates there may not be as timely as before. For the most up-to-date firmware files and change logs, please refer to our new official firmware page:

It is always recommended to do a factory reset after firmware update to clear any potential conflicts. I don't think this feature is a good idea.

I actually think this feature is a good idea. Viofo and Vueroid have a similar function.
Following the installation of the latest firmware updates, resetting the settings is no longer recommended.
However, anyone who wishes to can perform a factory reset. It won't do anyone any harm.

Ive noticed a lot of times not doing a factory reset after a firmware update can lead to a host of buggy issues. It's like clearing the cache on a phone / computer. You want to rid yourself of any stored remnants from previous version that could conflict with the new version.

That’s not entirely accurate.
I can't even remember the last time I performed a factory reset after updating my Viofo and Vueroid models, and no issues were observed.

But there are as many opinions as there are people.
Everyone decides for themselves what to do and how to do it.
