Yes you can, I did a time lapse video with the Git2 connect to a power bank.

I thought most of power banks for mobile phone can work with Git2.
Some power bank marked as 2A output, but no problem for Git2.

I was using the OnePlus power bank as I got it cheap. Other good low cost are Xiaomi power banks

I used a externally battery but it still should work, unless to high of voltage. Try plugging in to charger before turning camera on.

Your cable or charger have a problem. Try to reset camera to default settings.

Hello!

I know now my mistake. I am plugging it on a PC, not on an adaptor. Thats why it is prompting as a mass storage/pc camera.
