Good evening,

I followed the link that I found on here somewhere to download RegistratorViewer, which gives very fluid video playback (better than VLC).

But try as I may, I can get no sound play-back. Is this normal ?

(and yes, there is audio on the recording - the sound's fine on VLC)

Would be a codec problem, some other software you have installed is tripping it up for you

Not only do I have no sound, but I can't find a volume control on it. :(

Apparently I have downloaded "Datakam Player v5.6.0.3"

Could you suggest any other player ?

Datakam player works with Win7 without any extra codecs required, if that doesn't work it suggests a codec error from some other program you have

You could try adding the K-Lite codec pack, might sort it out

Thanks Jokiin. Have you downloaded that pack ? My antivirus (Eset) gets its knickers in a twist and flatly refuses.

Yes it's completely safe, but make sure you get it from the original site, also make sure you are downloading the right files, those sites often prompt other downloads

The Registrator Viewer site has links to the correct site for K-Lite if you're not sure
