At the moment Viofo, Vueroid and Vantrue
VIOFO A329S Series arrived to me.
Huge thanks to the entire Viofo team, especially Bill Zhou for such a chic set, as well as the Viofo.ru team, which helped me get all this for testing.
Since unpacking photos are in each topic, and some topics have very professional photos, I don’t see the point in posting my photos.
I’ll only post photos of the general set.
In the future, as usual, I’ll post videos and screenshots, as well as comments on the operation of this model.
Since the set is very chic and if there are no comments on the operation of this model, especially at high temperatures,
then in the future I’ll buy an A329S 1CH to replace the A229 Pro in my son’s car.
Although our 2 copies of the A229 Pro in our cars work without problems at any temperature,
the A329S captivates with the ability to connect an SSD, as well as a new parking mode when using the new HK6.

Maximum setup there 😄
You'll enjoy setting them all up,

The waterproof camera would look on the T5 if you've got a rear spoiler, you can modify the centre brake light (to cable through) above the doors and stick the camera on the underside of the spoiler for a high vantage, or down low by the bumper.

Thanks for the advice.
The car is currently away and I haven't thought about where I'll install this camera yet.
For now, I'm setting up fisheye and telephoto in another car.

I installed the A329S in my car and decided to see how the "Fish Eye" shoots.
The viewing angle is impressive. It is no less than that of the Vantrue E360.

I checked the telephoto with the firmware with the letter "S" installed on the A329S.
The telephoto works, BUT distorts objects.
The difference in the telephoto with the firmware "S" and "T" can be seen in the screenshots below.

That's because the S firmware uses the extra camera port for the fisheye interior camera, so it will have software adjusting for that purpose, giving any the telephoto a slight fisheye look.

So changing the the T firmware will adjust the view to the correct set up for the telephoto camera.

That's a good idea to position the telephoto more into the oncoming traffic lane, rather than central. Makes it more useful seen as it has a narrower cut off 👍

This idea is not mine. I used the advice of an MTZ user on installing a telephoto lens.

The telephoto lens from the A229 Pro is installed even further to the left and, in my experience, does a better job of reading license plates.
After some time I will put the telephoto lens from the A329 in the place where the telephoto lens from the A229 Pro is currently installed.

There are often complaints from users on the Internet about the A229 Pro turning off at high temperatures.
I have 2 A229 Pros and neither of them has ever turned off due to heat. One has been working for a year and a half, and the other for more than a year at different temperatures.
The other day I had a similar story with the A329S, which could have happened to my A229 Pro, which had previously been hanging in the place of the A329S.
It was +36 degrees Celsius outside. The car had been parked in the sun for half a day. The video recorders were turned off. I got in, started the car, turned on the video recorders and went about my business. It was not far to go and the interior did not even have time to cool down. The car stood in the second parking lot for half an hour with the windows open, and the sun was shining on the car from behind.
I got in, started the car and noticed that the A329S did not turn on. Having reached my home parking lot, I tried to restart the A329S. All the LEDs on the A329S lit up, but it didn't start and after a few seconds everything turned off. After a few seconds, all the LEDs on the A329S lit up, but it didn't start and after a few seconds everything turned off. And so on in a circle. I turned off all the DVRs and went home.
By evening, the temperature dropped and I went to check the A329S in the car. It didn't start and the story with the LEDs repeated itself. Disabling the telephoto didn't help.
I removed the A329S from the windshield, brought it home and at home it turned on.
The reason for the A329S turning off was in the HK4, which started working in the morning and has been working to this day. However, we haven't had such hot days anymore.

Edit:

What is this post about?
Because everyone blames the model itself for the shutdown, and no one even thinks about the KIT.
And the KIT, after cooling down, starts working as if nothing had happened.
And people think that the DVR cooled down and started working.

Temporary installation of the waterproof RWC400 camera on the rear window from the outside.
You can install the camera in another place, but I wanted to see the video quality first.
