VIOFO A329S Series / 2K Fisheye Cabin / 2K Telephoto Camera / 2K Waterproof Rear / Video and Screenshots

@Karagandinez are you saying you have switched to this new version just to check it out? Or were
you also having an issue?
I haven't had any issues with the current firmware version.
I was just curious what's new in this version.
There's another version: V2.0_250928, linked below. I don't know if they're the same or not. Whether it's worth updating or not.

Thanks. Not being a tester/reviewer and having a 3CH system that has been working well
so far I am in no hurry to update or change the firmware. I'm very interested in seeing how
this Version works for you.

I figured I could play it safe and do an update when Viofo posts it on their page, but if your
system is working well with it I could be "seduced to the dark side". 🤣

I think that the new firmware will soon be available for download on the official firmware website.

When turning on the ignition, the A329S with this firmware reports that an event occurred while parking and that there are blocked files.
Opening or closing the doors in parking mode is a strong enough 'impact' to trigger the sensor as an impact event.
If the impact is soon after turning off the ignition, you will not get a notification when you start the car.
If the impact is shortly before turning on the ignition, you will not get a notification when you start the car.
Therefore the normal process of exiting and entering the vehicle will not cause the notification to appear.
I'm not sure how long the do-not-notify duration is, but my preliminary testing shows it is between 90s and 3 minutes.

I just installed this firmware today and haven't delved into all the details yet.
I'll have to pay attention to this...

I’m hoping they have it set more towards the longer time….as it often seems to take an eternity for my wife to actually get out the car once we’ve stopped and turned off the ignition..! 🤣

A user setting in the menu could be a good future tweak…?

You will have to keep the engine running until your wife gets out of the car. 😉

I have two telephoto cameras, which are used in the A329T and A329TC models. Today I experimented with the connection.
The camera that comes with the A329T only works when connected in place of the cabin camera.
The camera that comes with the A329TC works when connected in place of any of the additional cameras.

Forgot to add:
The Telephoto lens included with the A329TC also works with the A329 2CH when connected in place of the rear camera.

Does that depend on the telephoto unit itself, or the difference between the T & TC firmware?

It depends on the telephoto lens itself. At least, that was the case when the A329S was released.
Perhaps Viofo is now releasing a single version of the telephoto lens that works with both outputs on the A329S.
