Why not a simpler naming scheme for different models?

It's been awhile since I visited this forum and trying to catch up with what's new. I just realized Street Guardian model numbers are hard to remember (they are very similar) which is which. Instead of a bunch of letters and numbers, why not give it a name in the series or at least shorten it to 2-3 letters. Not trying to rant, but giving a suggestion.

The biggest reason we use these names are so they can be found in google search results.

People do nick name the cameras when talked about in forum posts here the last two letters though.

SG9663DC = DC

SGGCX2 = X2

SGGCX2PRO = X2PRO

SG9665GC = GC

SG9665XS = XS

SG9663DR = DR

Etc

The numbers used relate to the SOC used, so with a profound understanding of those you quickly know what to expect of the model.
At least the SGGCX2PRO are not called SG9665GCX2PRO. :giggle:
9665 cameras = single channel 1080/30
9663 cameras are dual channel 1080/30 or single channel 1080/60
The SGGCX2PRO are the oddball, it is not 9665 like the original GC but rather a 9663 model with the option to later add a rear camera.
