Why cannot someone design a dual dash cam with both front and rear cameras small like the rear one of the 0906 with all the electronics in a small box you can mount hidden under the dash?

I had one of these back in 2010 and it was perfect. The camera was mounted to my rearview mirror stem and it worked great. The downfall of it was no auto record, no parking mode and no loop recording.

I'd love a solution like this with the modern day features of auto record, parking mode and loop recording

Yes but with a parking mode.

The 0906 is almost there why not do the same with the front camera as the rear and just have the unit in the glovebox.

I think ( guessing here ) that around the summer holiday a few testers might see pre - production samples, but actual production and sale will have to wait to make sure there are not too many gremlins in the products.

BUT ! dual remote cameras are high on the list for a few brands at least, we western guys cant have our cameras stealthy enough, also a dual remote kit will be really good for people wanting cameras in the L & R side of the car.

Correct. The legal situation in Germany isn't clear, the use of dashcams isn't explicitly allowed nor denied here. So having a non-intrusive device makes you feel better than using some dashcams that are literally painted in flashy orange colors.
I am planning to buy the 0906, I really like the interaction between the users and the engineers. I will check this forum reguarly(beta testing).

I have been testing on a few of the MEG mini cameras, and i hope that will continue in the future.

Sadly i made my 0906 test sample break after only a few months, otherwise it would still have been in my car cuz i liked it and before it broke it was my go to camera, not least as i could get both front and rear footage on one memory card.
