i couldn't hardly see any damage to either vehicle. yet they block the intersection and want an ambulance? no wonder our insurance is so damned expensive.

I knew a guy that got rear ended by a bus in downtown Aarhus, he said he got whiplash and so got a early retirement / pension.
Go hand in hand with the job he never had as far as i know.
But as the bus rear ending him barely made a dent in the plastic on his car, by that argument i should have suffered at least 10 whip lashes in my life and have been retired decades ago.

I was rear ended twice by the same 18-wheeler in my Miata.
Thankfully we were already stopped at a red light, and he was just playing with his clutch, and there was no damage. But if my car had been any lower or the truck any higher, there would have been some real damage - the bottom 1cm of his bumper made contact with the top 1cm of mine. Any difference, and his bumper probably would have broken all my rear lights.
