Does the Yi dashcam have an adjustable EV setting?

Yes, I was trying to find a polite way to confirm that it does not have adjustable EV. I checked the Yi website support page and downloaded the brief manual, but found no answers there. Some YouTube videos suggest they were recorded with EV + or -, but that could have been a different model. In the end I decided to ask in a forum page where other owners could perhaps answer the question.

I think the guy must have tinted windows where the camera are going, and want to compensate for that.
I have never touched EV in any camera as far as i can recall.

If the entire window is tinted then the camera will adjust exposure for that, just as it does between a sunny or cloudy day.

The only reason I consider setting EV other than 0 is to compensate for particularly dark or light areas within the frame, such as a white or black hood visible above the dash at the bottom of the video.
