I think anyone that is in a position to be able to work from home should probably continue doing that, at most just the ones that really need to be in an office initially might make more sense, just ease back into things
That's an extremely logical approach to the issue. What makes you think any government agency would do that? 😱

Hehe yeah logic is normally not the MO of that type of being.
Sweden is also fighting 2 viruses, but the #2 i can not mention for forum rules, but it is pretty bad also.

Even on the PB and Moderna vaccines we have a surplus it seem, at least so many open slots are not getting filled, so maybe we Danes are also down to stupid people now ( about half of the population )
I tried earlier to see if i could get my shot in 3 days moved up, cuz if they need a arm to lean on mine could be ready in a hour or two ( just need a bath ) BUT. There was no option to move up my shot, though it do seem like a option from news stories,,,,,,, but this could maybe be that there are no surplus slots in my town / region.

Region zeeland have 100.000 open slots unused
Region Southern Denmark / Jutland have 80.000 open slots
Region Northern Jutland have 60.000 open slots.
Region middle Jutland where i am report several 1000 unbooked slots
The Capitol region have put 330.000 slots online this week, but dont say how many they have open,,,,,, its probably the most of them as really stupid people live in and around our Capitol.

We could make a killing on corona vaccine tourism 😊 we got the shots, you bring your dollars or other nice money.

Status on vaccines in DK. First shot, Second shot.

When everyone that will take a vaccine is vaccinated and you're left with the 20% or whatever of anti-vaxers then herd immunity is all you're left with, vaccines don't stop the virus, only stop you getting extremely sick so those in the balance are either going to get it and build some resistance, or get it and be removed from the gene pool

I vote for option B. 😉 (Makes future problems easier to deal with.)

It's more than 20% here and I also vote for option B. Stupid parents tend to beget stupid children ad nauseum and this world has too much stupidity already 😉 Let people get what they're really asking for; it's the most effective education method there is 😎

It's more than 20% here
Plus nobody is vaccinating children yet, so there is really no chance of reaching herd immunity for the delta variant using only vaccination.

If they don’t set a deadline then many people will just delay getting vaccinated, as we have seen in Australia. UK did well with the older population, but the younger need an incentive. Delta + removing all restrictions is a pretty good incentive.

Isn't herd immunity what Brazil came unstuck with ?
Yes, but they have been attempting it without vaccinating all the elderly first, UK is in a very different position.

Here in Vermont (and elewhere AFAIK) children 12 years old and up are receiving COVID vaccinations.
Here, children are generally younger than that, maybe a difference between languages just as there is a significant difference in drinking age. (5 versus 21 I believe?)

I take your point about younger children but I would still classify a 12 year old as a youngster. A 12 year old is a pre-teen, therefore technically a child.

Here they have opned up for 16 YO kids to be vaccinated, younger than that i think are still on hold awaiting INFO from our friends vaccinating kids younger than that.

I think it is just our 179 allfathers ( number of Danish parliament members ), that is looking after us a bit too much, you could say they are smothering their children with their love to serve them ( thats their words not mine )
Or maybe i should thats what their stickiness to a parliament seat seem to indicate to me.

Personally i would only feel like that sticky to the people i love, and i do not have enough love for a whole country for life, thats for a select few, the rest i just hope they can say they respected me.

If there were plenty of vaccines available we wouldn't have the current lengthy delays that there are, I think a lot of the noise about this is to avoid the government having to talk about how many times they've messed things up along the way, our PM flip flops from one excuse to another on a daily basis, when he's not MIA at least, he seems to disappear when there's plenty of heat, he's a repeat offender though, was the same during the floods, the fires etc so it's not unexpected
Surprisingly, Australia seems to be less vaccinated than the world average! That does seem like they “messed up “.

Looks like it is time for you to stock up with enough food to get you 4 months passed your first vaccination date, and then go into hibernation! Your track and trace is no longer in control and it would take a severe lockdown to regain control.

Look at what happened in India with Delta, not what is happening in UK where most people getting it have already had previous exposure to some variant of covid or vaccine and over 91% have current antibodies, for most people here it is now just a cold.

Yeah we're way down the list, government dragged their heels for months while every other country was signing agreements so we ended way down the queue for supply, it's all self inflicted, try as they might they can't pass the buck and blame anyone else

Latest word is they expect to receive sufficient supplies for everyone by December, middle of summer when it will have already tapered off anyway, will probably have people reluctant to get it by then, short memories and all

Delta spreads so rapidly that contact tracing and area-specific lockdowns on detecting it are ineffective. There is only one protection- vaccines- unless you've had and kept your borders perfectly sealed throughout this. It is going to teach terrible lessons to those who refuse vaccines. Almost all of the new cases and deaths in the US are of the unvaccinated, and outbreaks of Delta are occurring in most larger cities.

Even if the Delta variant isn't as potent, that doesn't mean the next variant will be that way too. And with the variants apparently developing where thye larger outbreaks occur things could go crazy rather easily, perhaps even bringing forth a new virus or variant which the current vaccines can't handle.

We've done OK so far but the game has changed, and so must our tactics. Once the highly vulnerable have been vaccinated we need to open the availability to everyone else without classification. Once there are more vaccines than people wanting them we need to consider whether the conditions are such that we need to force the vaccine on the reluctant, and do so quickly before this gets completely out of hand again.

Here in the US Courts have ruled that employers can require vaccination as part of employment requirements, and as more companies do this more of the hesitant are getting it. I think the next legal round here will come in the form of an employee catching Covid from a co-worker where vaccination wasn't mandatory suing the company for not properly addressing their safety; similar cases have prevailed in the past where safety implementation could have been easily done. That will nearly end any anti-vax movement as nearly everyone has to work somewhere or work with companies who have that requirement. It's clear which way our Courts are currently leaning in this matter so I say "bring it on".

I am not big on being forced to do anything, but i do accept a employers right to demand what ever, even if it is sitting on the floor in a circle 3 times a day and sing kumbaya my lord and drink herbal tea,,,,,,, that will just be without me then.

I feel similarly, but I also recognize that in this, each of our choices can fatally affect many others, and nobody has any right to needlessly do that 😡

Show me a legitimate valid medical reason you cannot take a vaccine and I'll accept that, but I will not accept any reasons regarding general risk as those kinds of risks are higher without the vaccine than with it, so those argiments have no weight with me in the discussion 😒
