if your going to hard wire a capacitor camera look at the Viofo A119. It is a similar style as the Roav and it does have a parking feature but needs to be hard wired to work. No wifi, you can pop out the SD card and plug it into PC to playback your videos.

That file will only get erased if you allow your dash cam to record for many hours, fill up your SD card again and finally overwrite that file. Depending on your SD Card size that can take many hours to complete. Most people will retrieve the SD Card after the accident and then save it to a PC.

I turn the sensitivity feature off on any dash cam I have used. I find that it just gets tripped by normal driving and you end up with a lot of locked files on your SD card that won't get written over.

@viofo thanks for updating that, is this version (20160727) still considered beta or did it make it to a final version?

I would, get the most updated model possible if its a free replacement.

What is the actual Version # of the latest Firmware? The link you provided just states A118C Firmware with a file name as FWB40A.bin but it does not state what to look for when we do a version check on our camera...?

Ok so I got my replacement today, and it looks different than the original...why? Looks at the lens, the fonts, the slits for venting the heat.

I am going to ask them for a replacement.
