0805 High Pitched Whine

I'm often getting a high pitched whine/whistle on my recordings. Anyone experienced this? Is it a faulty unit?

Does it record the high pitched whine when you test recordings from outside of the car?

Could be alternator wine on some cars.

Did you try another memory card?
Reset to factory defaults?
New firmware update?

RMA replacement time if nothing helps.

Can you hear the noise if you put your ear next to the camera while recording?

I can't find any firmware. The one page that comes up when I google has removed them.

Different SD card, same whine.

Not restored defaults. Is the an actual reset, or just restore defaults in the menu?

I just received one of these units today and am getting the high pitched tone during playback as well. If I put my ear up to the cam I can faintly hear the noise when the screen is on. I set the screen to power off after a minute, but I still hear the high-pitched tone in my video playback same volume.

I had a similar problem with my 0806. Did the new 0806 resolve your high-pitched whine noise?

Seems fine so far.

I just have the poor motion sensing, lack of parking guard and non functional A slot to deal with now...
