So far so good with testing! (beautiful) We are waiting for a new firmware to enhance GPS logging quality for playback in RegistratorViewer/DataKam. It was just fixed in the Panorama G last night and will apply to the next Panorama X2 firmware. See this link. (all fixed up perfect)

I'll load up the new CPL accessory as soon as we back up and running. This deluxe extra strong magnet CPL from Japan will be $42.95. It comes with one spare stick ring.
Extra Bonus, it fits the Panorama S and G too! (and you don't even have to use the stick ring) The magnet on this thing is super strong and it won't be going anywhere.
So this CPL is like the V 2.0 for All Panoramas

I'll post more in depth videos about it when I can, including actual footage with a spin test.

@Pier28 , the G firmware update you speak of, is that somewhere avail to download or are you still testing it? I got confused, my apologies... 😳

What effect does the filter have if left on at night? I thought they normally darkened the image, but I don't know if the camera was compensating since it was nice and sunny.

Agreed, we don't recommend Sandisk for most DashCam products.

Night performance will" best" with the CPL off but many will probably leave it on 24/7 based on what I've read in the forums the past 2 years. If you want to take it off the handy clip on neoprene bag case will come in handy.
 
look, i respect you and your product, but i will disagree with you on saying sandisk is trash.

how do you explain i ONLY USE SANDISK CARDS IN YOUR...YOUR.....YOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PANORAMA G (128GB) WITH ZERO FREAKING ISSUES!!!!! I RUN THE CAM 24/7 AND SWAP OUT THE CARD AT NIGHT WITH A 32 GB SANDISK AND ZERO FREAKING ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THATS HOLY STOP BAD MOUTHING THE SANDISK! WHY WOULD I COME ON HERE AND LIE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE!!!!

you dont have to support or "recommend" the card but you also dont have to trash it!

sandisk is the most faked card in the world. some people try and save some coin and get a sandisk for cheap. they get it and realize that 64gb card is only 5gb.

guess where the fakes come from? CHINA!

you already have my money for the X2 and the Pano g @Sungmoon Jang and again i highly respect you for what you are bringing to us enthusiasts on this site, but your ignorance in saying sandisk is trash is debunked by my daily use of the cards in your very same products!

I just added the all new CPL filter. Remember this new version works on both Panorama S, G (via built in factory ring) and all new X2 (via stick-on ring). Since it fits all our Panorama products across the board, I'm calling it our Version 2.0 CPL Filter. (way stronger magnets)

New CPL's won't arrive until mid/late this week. If any X2 customers pre-order with a CPL, I will wait until the CPL stock arrives before shipping unless told otherwise. (I don't mind shipping it later on)

Does it come with a cigarette lighter power cable? Or is it hardwire only? Hardwiring makes me nervous.

It's hard wire only, because that's how you make parking mode work (3 wire power, Ground, ACC and Battery) I will be looking for a 3rd party power solution to make it more plug and play. A non-hard wire install is only a good solution for those that don't care they will lose parking mode.

all good points from @jokiin and @Pier28 .

All you need is to get two "add a circuits". find suitable fuses and tie the wires into the add a circuit. it will take you less than 30 minutes! A cave man can do it!

If you were local to me (LA) I would do it for you. seriously its really easy and the X2 is whats hot right now.
 
If someone is really averse to hard wiring, they can just get a standard 12V lighter plug from Radio Shack and attach that to the power cable. This one is only $5.

Wire both ACC and BAT to the tip and black to ground and it should work, but without parking mode as Pier28 mentioned. If the car has constant 12V at the lighter socket, then you could potentially still have recording while parked, but it will waste storage by recording non-movement and possibly drain the battery if you leave it on for too long.

I think Sungmoon Jang gets too much headache from people that use fake sandisks in his product and he'd rather people get other cards.
