4g hardwiring connection problems

Hi, l am having a problem trying to connect 4g hardwire kit upo4 to my 70mai x200 dash cam, got both in China, when l connect it to my car fuse box it starts flashing red, l have been told it could be the sim card, tried Vodafone data only sim and no joy stays at flashing red, this sim worked fine in my Blackvue dash cam, l tried a Sky tablet sim no joy with that sim either, anyone have the same problem as me, anyone got any info on whats the best sim card to use in a 4g hardwire kit upo4, been at this for 3 weeks,?/?
