70MAI M300 upscaled ?

Hi all,

Can somebody confirm or refute my suspicion that 70MAI M300 videos are upscaled ?
Even though 70MAI M300 is advertised as 2304x1296 resolution, when You record with that higher resolution, and when You record with FullHD 1080p resolution file sizes of both files are very, very similar, almost the same.
I have a concern that camera is recording in true FullHD 1080p, then upscaled to 1296p.

I tried to check it with:

3. ChatGPT - unable to help me

Can somebody shed some light on the topic ?

No, it uses a 3mp SC3335 sensor with a resolution of 2304H x 1296V
This can be seen from the firmware, besides in detail when parsing:
