An old man in his car emerged from the right without looking.
I had 3 people, dog and luggage in the car, it could have been dangerous to brake too hard.

But it looked like he was heading for the left lane and the right was the safer choice!

I would have braked hard, but when the car is heavily loaded with people and dogs, that is not always a good option.

It was an absolutely split second decision, I was watching the driver heading to the left side of the road.
I just made use of the empty space on the right.
The 2 people in the car were holding onto the seats and handles and one of them was hanging onto my small dog.
