Analysis Paralysis during research for a new cam

I switched my Viofo 329 (non-S) from LBR to 1fps Super Night Vision after it overheated and turned itself off on a sunny 30 C day, and also because night time recordings were totally black and usesless. Then my car got scraped on the front corner while parked, and the video capture the approach and departure but not the actual impact or sound because FPS has no audio.

One advantage of the S1-4K over the A329(S) is that if you use 'impact and timelapse' parking mode it will record timelapse video - without audio - until an impact is registered. It then records a pre-buffered normal 30fps video of the event, complete with audio. Then it switches back to timelapse mode.

Just an update: I did order the Vueroid S1-4k 3ch and BBMC's Powercell 8 and inverter.
Everything has arrived and I hope to have time this weekend to bench test everything and spend a little while doing the rough layout in the car.
I doubt I will have the time to get the hardwiring done this weekend so I'll be using the CLA cable for now. Based off of info in other threads, I'm planning to pick up some 12awg along with inline fuse, relay, etc to have on hand once I start to get everything wired in.

PS: What's everyone's favorite sites for wires/connectors/etc? I've chased parts for project car builds from Mouser, wirebarn, EFI Connection and the old standby - Amazon.

Glad you settled on a battery pack. Hardwire the battery pack to the fuse box or you can simply use the 12V socket to charge while driving.

Do you know how to properly install dashcam? Be sure to route any wires BEHIND the A Pillar airbags and NEVER cross the wire over them. Same with B or C Pillar depending on your vehicle.

And yes, I'll be careful not to cross over any of the airbags. I've been in the automotive world for more years than I care to admit and have already mapped out where the pillar and side curtains are in my car and how best to avoid them.

Best way to run wires is along the floor. You deal with the Pillars and avoid everything else.

That is my plan. Easier to route cabling for the battery that will be under a seat through the rocker/sill area than trying to go up along the roof and avoid the side curtains.
BBMC actually has a video up of an install on my same model of car. They went along the headliner on their install though. I'd rather stick to the floor when I do mine.
